吃瓜学英语——做名人到底有多难？

俗话说，做人难，做名人更难。比如，前两天，一个穷凶极恶的歹徒(a vicious attacker)手持利刃突然就冲向台上(rushed onto the stage)，刺伤了(stabbed)已经64岁的香港演员任达华。所幸，多亏华叔身手矫健，反应迅速。尽管腹部和手部受伤，目前并未危及生命(life-threatening)，手术也很成功。但这场无妄之灾，让每个人都后怕不已。

一时间，现场视频也迅速在网上传播(rapidly circulating on Chinese social media platforms)，引发了一众网友的热烈讨论。现如今，做明星，不仅要忍受网络喷子(troll)的语言暴力，被吐槽不够瘦不够白不够美不够聪明～还会遇到“以爱之名”的骚扰，像天仙姐姐一样被冲抱倒地，甚至是如华叔一样，直接被歹徒持刀行凶... ...我的天，妥妥地高危职业(high-risk job)了有木有!

所以，当雅思考官深(虎)情(视)款款(眈眈)地看着我，在Part3问道：

“Do you want to be famous? 你想成名吗?“

老阿姨一定会倔强地地告诉ta:

“of course not. Being a superstar has never been on my bucket list.

当然不想! 当明星从来就不在我的梦想清单上。

I mean, if you became a megastar, you would have to live in the spotlight. In that case, anyone, especially those annoying trolls, would judge you because of what you look like or who you’re dating with.

我的意思是，如果你成为了超级巨星，你就得活在聚光灯下。那样的话，任何人，尤其是网络喷子们，会对你评头论足，比如，你长什么样，你和谁约会。

Apart from that, whenever you go out, you’ll be constantly followed by paparazzi trying to digging into your private life.

除此之外，你每次出去，总会有狗仔队一直跟着你，想要挖你的隐私。

And worse still, maniacs would possibly rush to the stage and stab you when you are in a promotional event.

更糟糕的是，当你在出席一些商业推广活动的时候，会有疯子冲到台上捅你一刀。

So, although celebrities tend to have easy access to fame and wealth, it’s still a high-risk job that I’ll never try.

所以，尽管名人更容易获得名气和财富, 仍是我不想尝试的高风险职业。
