　　The topic makes me think of a small lake near where I live that is getting dirtier and dirtier. I've lived on the north side of the lake for 20 years. When I was young, this lake was a fun

place for me and my little friends to hang out. I've been here for a long time, and I've never seen so much trash.

　　When I drove by it last week on my way home from work, I saw a lot of plastic trash, like bottles and carry bags, floating on the water and piling up at our end. This is because of the

temporary camp at the west end of the lake, which started up a week ago. It's clear that the campers are throwing trash right into the lake, and it's too annoying to watch. It makes me

sad to see that the lake where I've lived since I was a child is now dirty, so I called the local environmental protection office right away. Their boss said that they would find out as soon as

possible what was going on and help us deal with it. When I left home this morning, I was very happy to see that things had, in fact, gotten much better.

　　Plastic waste has a big effect on the environment, but it doesn't have to be that way. We can lower the risk of damage to the environment every time we choose not to use or recycle

plastic products. Be aware of what we do and tell the people around us to think twice before they throw away plastic or buy things that don't need to be made of plastic.
