1.   Take
Take after  与..像；The baby took after his mother. 这个婴儿与他妈妈很相像。
跟踪（某人）；The detective took after the burglars.  侦探（悄悄）跟踪这些窃贼

Take back 夺／取回（某物／人）；I forget to take back my bicycle. 我忘记取回我的自行车了。
归还； The shaving blade was defective, so i took it back to the store. 刮胡刀出问题了，所以我把它还给商店了。

Take down 记下，写下；
Though we have both lived in Canada for years, I have somehow never managed to take down my sister’s address. 尽管我们同在加拿大住了多年，但我好像从没记下过我哥哥家的地址。

2.   Give
Give in 屈服；We shouldn’t give in to our vices so easily. 我们不应该很轻易地向自己的恶习屈服。
呈交； Please give in your examination papers in 5 minutes. 请在五分钟之内呈交你们的答卷。

Give out  分发，散布；We grow up in order to give out. 我们成长应该为了付出。
用光，用尽；相当于 use up;  The fuel gave out. 燃料用尽了。

Give off 发出，放出，释放出; Bulgarian rose blossoms give off a rich perfume. 保加利亚玫瑰释放出馥郁芳香。

Give away 赠送；Give-away show 有奖节目；
Some companies lure customers with giveaway presents. 某些商家用赠送礼品来吸引消费者。

Give up 放弃； They give up smoking after reaching their adulthood. 他们在成年之后开始戒烟。

Give rise to 引起；
The lack of moral education in high school could give rise to an increase of juvenile delinquency. 高中道德教育的缺乏可能引起青少年犯罪率的上升。
